Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! We had a great Halloween this year. We went to our ward trunk or treat on Thursday night, and it was really fun. Kassidy sat in the back and helped us had our candy. It was really fun to see all the Halloween costumes. Kassidy was an owl for the trunk or treat but her hat didn't stay on for very long.

We carved a pumpkin and Kassidy liked playing with the insides, she thought it was pretty cool. She also really enjoyed getting a bath afterwords.

This is our cute little fairy! She was so fun to dress up I really enjoyed it anyway. Holidays are a lot different when you have a baby. I realize that I want to make holidays special for them. I know Kassidy won't remember these first ones but it makes me excited to share them with her in the future. On Halloween we went to the family vet school party for a little bit and then we came home and had soup. We had about 15 trick or treaters and they all came at once! It was a  great Halloween.

9 Months Old

I can not believe how fast time goes...this little girl is 9 month old already. Here is a list of things she likes to do at 9 months.
1. She loves to smile and laugh, except in public she gets really shy. She also is learning to tease us, and play pick a boo.
2. She loves to eat with her hands. She really likes to chew on apples.
3. Kassidy still really loves her bath, when you turn it on she gets so excited and starts doing her happy yell.
4. Kassidy sits up really well and moves in a circle, she rolls from her stomach to her back and just started rolling from her back to stomach but she still does not love her stomach so she usually is on her back or sitting up. We are working on walking she is starting to get the hang of moving her feet.
5. Kassidy loves to help do the laundry! She has started handing me the hangers when I go to hang up the clothes.
6. Kassidy gets really excited when Trevor comes home! She loves him, she also loves to say Dad Dad Dad!

Sick Little Girl

Last week we had a sick little girl, she had a fever and was throwing up. I took her to the doctor and it ended up just being a virus. It is hard to have a sick baby, it made me really appreciate my mom, I know when I was sick all I wanted was my mom and I knew she would take care of me. I hope to do the same for Kassidy.

Kassidy's First Oreo
Kassidy loved having this Oreo, she got really messy and had to go take a bath after.

Mini Vacation

 Mini Vacation
October 25, 2014
We decided to make a little vacation out of going to the temple. We went to Spokane on Friday night and stayed in a hotel. We did not get there until about 8:30pm but Kassidy was happy and so we decided to go swimming for a little while. She LOVED IT! It was cold water but she did not seem to mind. She loves the water...she must be related to Trevor!! She really liked to splash and kick her legs. On Saturday we got up and met our friends, the Kartchners,  at the temple, we watched there little guy Clay, while they were in the temple and then they watched Kassidy while we went. After words we went to Red Robin and then headed home so Trevor could study.
Clay and Kassidy, these two are going to be great friends. They already play good together. Kassidy gets a little jealous because Clay can move around and she can't yet.

The Temple is such a blessing, I am so thankful we were able to go there. I know you learn something new each time you are there. I want Kassidy to be able to go inside the temple some day. I hope I can teach her and prepare her to go to the temple.

Kassidy

This one is mostly for the grandparents! Our sweet little Kassidy is getting so big! She loves to eat anything we are eating and she is getting good at feeding herself finger foods.

Kassidy is wearing the cute little dress from Africa that Uncle Marty gave her. We are so thankful for the Example he is to us and to her. We can not wait until he gets to meet her!

Kassidy and I were in her room picking up and I set her in the rocking chair! She loved it, I would just rock her back and forth and she was as happy as could be. I am so blessed to have this little girl in my life and I Love her very much!

Apartment Fire

I learned something very valuable this week, that I am not very prepared for an emergency. On Saturday we were at home when the fire alarm went off, at first we thought it was just the standard fire drill so we grabbed Kassidy, Pheobe ( our Dog) the diaper bag, jackets and headed out. When we got out into the hall it was kinda smokey, so I thought maybe it was just something in the kitchen that had burned but when we got outside there really was a fire in an apartment on the 3rd floor. We were out in the parking lot for about an hour and a half, it wasn't a big fire and everyone is okay. It made me really reflect though on how prepared am I. What would I do if we were in an emergency situation? I know we were not prepared, and that is something we are going to work on.

Just waiting outside, Kassidy did great and loved being outside!

Back to Blogging

I have decided to start blogging again so that our family and friends can keep up on what is happening in our lives. Especially grandparents who want to see pictures of our sweet little girl Kassidy. Just a quick update...We are now living in Pullman, Washington, Trevor is going to Vet school and so far really liking it. Kassidy is 8 months old and brings so much joy to our lives. I am loving being a stay at home mom.

I am so thankful to be a mom and have such a cute little girl.

We went to a corn maze on Saturday, it was really fun. They had different places within the maze that you had to find, and punch your card. They also asked you a question at each of the stations. Kassidy did well, she liked playing with the corn. They also had little kids games outside of the maze, there was Roping, milking a cow, playing with toy tractors, and some others. Trevor and I did the roping and I got it on my first try....Trevor didn't do so good haha! We are loving the fall weather and all the changing leaves, it is a beautiful place.
